Scenic Float

Take in the beauty of the Snake River and Grand Teton views on a peaceful, scenic float without crowds in Jackson Hole. Enjoy wildlife encounters all to yourself.

Beginner Friendly

Safe for adventurers of all ages and experience levels. Perfect for families and multi-generational groups.

1 - 3 hours

7-Mile routes last around 1.5 hours. 14-Mile routes last around 2.5 hours (depending on the river flow rates).

Calm Water

Our quiet Snake River float carries you through some of the river’s calmest sections, keeping the adventure comfy, stable and dry! No rapids.

Safety

Safety gear is included, and all our guides are professionally trained in rescue and first-aid.

We offer the longest routes on the river thanks to our exclusive river and ramp access. You get more of Wyoming’s beauty—extended solitude, deeper immersion in nature, and a longer wildlife corridor. Variety that makes everyone in your party happy.

Private boat ramps

We are the only rafting company in Jackson Hole with access to private, peaceful launches on the historic Snake River Ranch. The take-out for our 14-mile Snake River float is private, too. No delays getting off the water when you’re finished.

Experience our classic, family-friendly, 7-mile afternoon float featuring sweeping views of the Grand Teton Range and exclusive private river access with a relaxed pace. This premium journey is easy on the schedule and the perfect addition to a packed itinerary. We avoid busy routes, delivering a peaceful, prime experience with exceptional scenery and unique opportunities to view Jackson Hole’s incredible wildlife without the crowds, including the Ranch’s resident elk herd. Bonus: you’ll be back in town well before dinner. Comfort from start to finish.

14 Mile (Morning)

Beat the heat and experience our signature, 14-mile morning float along an extended wildlife corridor, offering deeper views of the Grand Teton Range and private river access. Ideal for families and multi-generational groups—there’s something for everyone. This exceptional, deeply immersive experience avoids crowded routes, allows more time for storytelling, and delivers unforgettable, often solitary, encounters with eagles, river otters, moose, the Ranch’s resident elk herd, bears and other native wildlife in a serene, high-end setting. Adventure that keeps your afternoons free.

Private Ramps

Exclusivity and privacy are hard to find in Jackson Hole, especially during the summer when our population swells with tourism. Our decade-long relationship with the Snake River Ranch, a privately owned and operated ranch, reserves the privilege of using their river access to our guests.

Lunch Spots

Private land access comes with perks—like scenic picnic spots, perfect for a mid-journey lunch and refreshments! What a fantastic way to extend your personalized adventure! Stretch your legs, have a bite to eat and look for a beaver or two!

History

Snake River Ranch is the largest operating cattle ranch in Jackson Hole (8500 acres). Constructed in the 1930’s, many buildings are part of the National Historic Register. Approximately 3,700 black and red Angus cattle reside on the ranch every summer.

Fun Fact: Stanley Resor purchased the first 200-acre parcel sight unseen in 1929 based on his 12-year-old son’s recommendation, who was visiting from New York.

What happens if I fall out of the boat?

First and foremost—stay calm. Your guide is trained to assist and will work quickly to get you back into the raft. If you’re momentarily swept out of reach, turn your body so your feet are pointed downstream and float on your back with your head above water. This position allows you to see what’s ahead and protect yourself from obstacles.

Continue to float calmly until you can safely rejoin the raft or reach the riverbank.

Before every trip, our expert guides provide a clear and thorough safety briefing—including a hands-on demonstration of what to do in situations like this.

WhiteWater Trips: We welcome children 6* and over to whitewater raft with us. There are exceptions to the age limit, so please call if you have any questions.

Scenic Floats: We welcome children 4* and over on our Scenic Floats, which take place on a different part of the Snake River.

*Age limits are subject to change based on the river flow rate.

If you have any questions about bringing your children on either the whitewater or the scenic trips please don’t hesitate to call.  The cutoff age for children’s prices on all trips is 12 years of age.

No, whitewater rafting is not recommended during pregnancy. The physical demands and potential risks can be harmful, especially during the first trimester when nausea and vomiting are common, and later when it could pose danger to both you and your baby.

Absolutely! With our experienced guides, there’s no age limit for whitewater rafting as long as you’re healthy and physically fit. Safety is our priority, and we welcome adventurers of all ages!

No swimming skills? No problem! You do not need to know how to swim to enjoy a whitewater rafting trip with us.

Every guest is provided with a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket that keeps you safely afloat at all times. Before hitting the river, our experienced guides will walk you through a detailed safety briefing—including what to do if you fall out of the raft. Your comfort and safety are always our top priorities.
