River Rapid classification explained

The International Scale of River Difficulty (ISRD) helps gauge the intensity of rapids, giving you an idea of what to expect. While it’s not an exact science, it’s useful! And don’t let those fancy Roman numerals throw you off—they simply represent levels 1-6 (because who needs to speak Roman numerals, right?).
